Werner Lippuner

As a retired Big 4 Partner Werner provides strategic consulting services to small and mid-sized companies providing goods and services to the Federal Government. As a Global Client Service Partner with Ernst & Young LLP (EY), he was responsible for business development and service delivery activities at large cabinet-level Federal agencies. Prior to that, he was responsible for the build-out and management of the firm’s Federal Risk Advisory business which was designed to help clients manage their risks across a wide range of disciplines, such as enterprise risk management (ERM), financial management, cyber security, supply chain, human capital, and regulatory compliance. Prior to serving the Federal market, Werner provided financial management and information technology advisory services to U.S.-based e-business and telecommunication companies. Before relocating to the United States, Werner worked with EY in Switzerland providing auditing and consulting services to multinational Financial Services and Pharmaceutical clients.

Werner is active in a number of professional services, such as the Association of Government Accountants (Member), Association for Federal Enterprise Risk Management (Board Member), ISACA (former Chapter Board Member). Werner frequently presented on topics around IT and Financial Management at various local, national, and international conferences. Additionally, he held guest lectures at Swiss and US universities.

Werner is a Swiss Certified Public Accountant and holds a Swiss Federal Fiduciary Certificate. He also holds a number of certificates related to IT security and governance, including CISA, CISM, CGEIT and CRISC. Werner earned a degree in business and accounting from the Handelsschule Muenchenstein in Switzerland.

Werner lives with his wife and daughter in Northern Virginia. The family also enjoys spending time on their small farm in the Appalachian mountains.
